With the Shelter in Place Order for Illinois still in effect, there is no event at Blackhawk Farms Raceway the weekend of Memorial Day. Perhaps this is the first time the track has been silent on the holiday.

Memorial Day was originally known as Decoration Day and originated in the years following the Civil War. It became a federal holiday in 1971.

Please take a moment on Monday, May 25 to remember the men and women who died while serving in the U.S. military.

As you may know, Governor Pritzker signed an executive order that extends the stay-at-home order for the State of Illinois until the end of May. The order begins the process of phasing in reopening of businesses, with some businesses allowed to reopen or open on May 1. Specifically, private and public golf courses are permitted to open on May 1. The executive order does not permit motorsports activities to take place at this time, and the exception for golf courses is expressly limited to golf.

We will open as soon as we have assurances from state and local governments that our activities are permitted or when the stay-at-home order is lifted, whichever comes first.

Please watch for updates here and at our website and know that we want you to return to Blackhawk Farms Raceway as much as you do!

Because the State of Illinois extended it's Shelter-In-Place order through May 30, we must cancel our May 13 Auto Track Day. All registered drivers will be contacted via e-mail to reschedule to another date later in the season.

Although we are disappointed that we're unable to host this event, five Auto Track Days remain on the 2020 calendar (and one Corvette Auto Track Day).

Please do your part to protect your health and safety, and we hope to see you soon!
