WE ARE FOR SURE RACING!!!

Other areas of the state got rain but we barely got 1/4” so c’mon down!!!

There, with that, here is:

What You Need to Know"

It is going to be quite lengthy, but there is a lot going on this weekend, so I hope you have a few minutes.

First, as you can see in this picture, we have a 4’x8’ banner for everyone to sign this weekend and we’ll present it to the Fischer family following the weekend activities.

Tonight, the pit gates open at 4pm with the pit meeting scheduled for 7pm, hot laps at 7:15pm and racing to follow. Pit passes for ages 14 and older is $32 and 13 years old and younger is $17. Of these prices, $2 for each pit pass sold will go to MedStar Race Rescue, which will be at EVERY show in 2020. Joining MedStar will be the Wagner Fire Department and Tyndall Ambulance Service. There will be five classes of cars running Friday night, including the Repairable Vehicles Tri-State Late Models joining the C & B Operations of Wagner Late Models, the DK Flooring and Customs 305 Sprint Cars, the Ponca Valley Seeds Sport Mods, the Butte Implement B-Mods and the Roth Custom Farming Hobby Stocks.

There will be five classes of cars on Saturday night as well. The pits will open at 3pm on tomorrow as the Good Ol' Time Racing Association (GOTRA) will be in town and having their cars on display at the track. We invite all fans to come out early and get an up-close view of these historic cars, talk with drivers, share stories, etc. Saturday night will also be the second night of the Repairable Vehicles Tri-State Late Models, along with the Ponca Valley Seeds Sport Mods, the Butte Implement B-Mods, and the Roth Custom Farming Hobby Stocks.

For those of you that are going to make a weekend out of it, we do have camping spots available. There are not "hook-ups" available, but you are certainly welcome to park your camper at the track and enjoy a great weekend of camping and racing.

The response of the trucks that help roll in the track is great, but we could use more of you. For each vehicle that comes to the track and helps pack the racing surface, you will receive an adult general admission ticket to that night's show AND a $15 gift card to Midtowne Oil and Wash. You can use it for fuel, a vehicle wash, anything you want. We like to have as many people as we can so we can keep the drivers and their cars in the pits and have them prepare for the night.

There will be "In Memory of Seth Fischer" decals and t-shirts on sale at the track this weekend. While they last, decals are being made by Rocket Sign Company of Spencer, NE. There has been 50 allocated for drivers on a first come, first served basis in the pits on Friday night. We also have 200 of these decals that will be on sale on race night, while they last, for $10 each. All sales will go to the Children's Fund for Layton and Rainey that has been set up at Commercial State Bank. The t-shirts are being made by Special T's in Lynch, NE and will be available on race night. Youth sizes 2T through Youth XL and adult sizes Small through XL are $15 and 2X and 3X sizes are $20, WHILE SUPPLIES LAST. All profits from shirt sales will also go to the Children's Fund. There will be locations in the pit area and in the main grandstands where you can purchase these items. There will be opportunities to purchase these items after this weekend, but logistics on how those sales will be conducted are still being worked out. As soon as we get that information from our suppliers, we will let everyone know.

The grandstand gates will open at 5pm, with adults $17, ages 11-17 are $10 and kids 10 and under are FREE when accompanied by an adult. We will have "Horsepower Happy Hour" from 5pm to 7pm with specials on 16-ounce Budweiser products, along with delicious food from the Speedway Grill. Get there early to enjoy your pre-race dinner with some ice-cold beverages before some great family entertainment.

The Commercial State Bank Kid's Club has become a huge success. Kids that come to the races have a chance to present trophies at the end of each feature. Two kids will be chosen at Commercial State Bank, so stop in there for more information. The remaining kids will sign up when they come into the track and we'll draw one name for each of the remaining features. Then each kid will report to the concession area DURING their race so we can have them ready for the presentation on the track right after the interview. A big thank you Commercial State Bank for sponsoring the Kid's Club.

Our 50/50 sales for the weekend will be handled by the Wagner Pink Ladies and there will be representatives in the pit area and in the grandstand selling 50-50 tickets. 50% of the sales will go to the winner and the other 50% on Friday night will be given to the Seth and Shannon Fischer family for the children's fund and 50% of the sales on Saturday night will help with expenses incurred by families that have been stricken with cancer in the Wagner area. The Wagner Pink Ladies works tirelessly to help families that need it as they battle such a hideous disease such as cancer..

There will be a MAJOR display both nights. Friday night's fireworks are presented by Power's Port A Pot, Myers Sanitation, Midtowne Oil and Wash and TNT Fireworks. Saturday night's show is brought to you in part by Wagner Super Foods and Full Throttle Fireworks. We will also have a special patriotic music montage to accompany the fireworks show.

If you are unable to join us at the track this weekend, you can watch the races LIVE on-line with Advantage Racing TV. You can click on this link advantageracing.tv/ for more information on how you can watch this pay-per-view program. It's the next best thing to being there. Thank you to Advantage Racing TV for their excellent work and promotion of our sport. We are honored to have them at the track.

You can keep up to date on our Facebook page or on our website at wagnerspeedway.com

Thank you for your time and support and I look forward to seeing all of you this weekend at Wagner Speedway.
